Check In and Check out

Check in time is at 16:00 and check out time is 10.00

Should you require a check out later than 10:00 or earlier than 16:00, kindly arrange with reception.

Should you not make a prior arrangement for a late check out, note that we do charge a late check out fee.

Extra Guest:

In the event of an additional guest, kindly inform and arrange with reception.

An additional fee is charged for extra guests and this will be automatically added to your room/account rate. This rate includes breakfast.

Keys

Please ensure to hand in your keys at reception when you check out. Lost keys will incur a once off cost of R500.00 non refundable.

DSTV Hotel Package

Each room has a Dstv decoder and 2 remotes. One remote is for the TV and the other remote is for the Decoder.

There is NO Box Office or Netflix – so PLEASE, Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES FIDDLE WITH SETTINGS OR DO A SEARCH.

Blankets

There are additional blankets in the cupboard for your comfort. Should you require more blankets, kindly ask reception or call the manager on duty.

Wifi

Guest are free to use the complimentary wifi. The entire guest house area is covered.

Parking

Complimentary secure parking is available at our Guest house.

CPF (SAPS) security controls the area from 18:00 to 06:00.

Please note that Elegant Guest House can not be held responsible for damage or theft to vehicles and/or the content.

Taxi/Uber

Should you require the services of a taxi or have any other transport requirements, kindly arrange with reception.

Please ensure ALL valuables are removed from your vehicle. Do NOT leave any electronic equipment, cell phones, tablets etc. in your car (either at night at the guest house or when you go to town). This would only entice potential theft.

Your room is beneficially equipped with a safe for these purposes.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served daily in the dining area and consists of a delicious selection of fruits, yogurt, cereals – rounded of with a plated hot breakfast, a la carte style.

Our plated breakfasts vary daily – enjoy the surprise!

Please note the dining area is smart casual and do not allow pajamas, slippers or bare feet. Kindly consider your fellow guest by dressing and behaving appropriately.

Kindly ensure you have informed the kitchen of any medical condition, allergy or special requirements IN ADVANCE.

Breakfast Times

Monday – Friday: 6:30 – 09:00

Saturday/Sunday/Public Holidays: 6:30 – 8:30

No breakfast will be served after 09:00 as staff needs to start other duties around the guest house to ensure that we adhere to high service level agreements.

Please arrange with reception for a Breakfast  “on –the-go” no later than 20:00 the previous evening.

In addition: Lunch packs can be ordered at R80.00 each.

Dinner

Dinner is served from 18:00 – 20:00.

Dinner, in the form of home cooked meals, will be served in the dining room. This service is not available over weekends. Dinner is optional and should beforehand.

Dinner attire is smart casual, please no bare feet and denims.

Regrettably no Take Aways of Room Service. We can serve dinner in your room, but this must be booked and arranged prior to the evening meal.

Take Aways

If your company included and arranged a specific amount for dinner and you wish to eat at a different location, please arrange and collect voucher / cash from reception.

Reception would be happy to assist with any of your take-away enquiries.

Braai (Barbeque)

Every Wednesday evening is Braai Time! Please book this beforehand to avoid disappointment. Join other guests at the braai/pool area for a cosy evening around the fire and enjoy a complimentary glasss of wine with us.

Our staff at reception will gladly assist you with any floral requirements you may have.

Luggage Service and Storage

Should you need assistance with your luggage or require storage, please arrange with reception (ext. 400).

Each room is furnished with a luggage rack, please USE this. Please refrain from putting suitcases on the bed and floor, as this makes cleaning the rooms difficult. We thank you for your co-operation.

Housekeeping

If you are out and about, please use your “PLEASE MAKE UP MY ROOM” door hanger to indicate that we can proceed to tidy your room.

Baby Cots

Should you be travelling with a baby, kindly contact reception to arrange for a camping cot and linen to be delivered to your room. This will however be charged to your room.

Laundry Services

We offer weekday laundry services with the exception of public holidays.

Complete the laundry form and place your laundry at reception or inform the manager on duty before 09:00.

Iron and Board

An iron and ironing board is available at reception. Please d not iron on the bed or floor. Should you attempt this, please note any damages will be added to your bill.

Maintenance

We continuously strive to ensure that our rooms are fully functional and all maintenance issues resolved as soon as possible. However, should you encounter any faults or notice anything broken, kindly let reception know or call the manager.

Coffee &Tea

There is ample coffee and tea and milk in all rooms. Please help yourself, this is complimentary.

For the “coffee-olics” and “tea-olics” – please ask reception if you run out of anything.

Braai Facilities

There is a braai area available. Please arrange prior to the evening with the manager/reception of you wish to utilize this. We can arrange for wood and charcoal, but need to be notified.

A gas braai is also available.

Costs hereof will be billed to your account.

Pool

The pool may be used during decent hours. Please consider your fellow guests. Children under 12 may only swim with supervision.

Animals

We are a pet friendly guesthouse and Boxer is welcome to tag along! Just let us know he is coming please.

Also note that we have in-house pets at Elegant Guest house, do be on the lookout for them in the driveways and when you reverse out of the yard.

Water

Polokwane is drought stricken area. The town has water restrictions and we urge you not to waste water. So make sure taps are closed and do not run overflowing baths. Use water sparingly in all instances please. Water from the taps are safe to drink. There is a water filter system connected to all outlets in the guest house.

Electricity

Electricity is penalty based in Polokwane – please use it responsibly.

We have a 12KVA backup generator for emergencies and load shedding scenarios.

Please avoid using laptops during power failures - power dips can cause damage to your electronic equipment.

Showers & Bathrooms

All rooms are equiped with en-suite bathrooms / showers. We also provide towels for your convenience. 

Plugs

All rooms are furnished with a selection of connections. Should you require any alternative plug, please contact reception.

Right of Admission

  • We, as owners, live on the premises – thus ensuring your safety, comfort and convenience at all hours. Our living quarters are a NO ENTRY zone however, and we ask you to respect our privacy.
  • We reserve the right of admission.
  • We do discriminate or exclude anyone, but we have the right to refuse entry should you disturb or behave unruly or have unhygienic .
  • No loud music is allowed after 20:00.
  • Please consider your fellow guests at all times. We have regulars and people return for the peace and quiet of Elegant Guest House – as we are sure you will do too!
  • No hourly bookings or day bookings are allowed.
  • No additional guests are allowed without prior arrangement and approval of the owners. This also ensures safety measures of our guests house. Additional guests will be added to your bill.
  • Guest are welcome to bring their own liquor, with arrangement. Again, please respect our house rules and your fellow guests. Any unruly behaviour will result in us calling the SAPS for assistance and your company will also be notified of any misconduct.
